Sesame peptide is food material obtained through the extraction of proteins from sesame seeds. It contains specific peptides which are known to have antihypertensive effects.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Sesame peptide exhibits a double effect for hypertension by suppressing Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity and the Production of component (angiotensin II) which lead to decreasing of advances systolic blood pressure, and decomposition of another component (bradykinin) which is known to lower blood pressure is stopped at the same time.
